There are a
number of Nikon digital cameras.
D50, then D80, D200 and more recently the D300. All great cameras and the D300 are
amazingly good. But like all digital SLR's they are only as good as the sensor
(chip) inside. For example, the 1999 D1 is better built than any modern
consumer SLR, but effectively useless
due to the relatively poor pictures it takes. The Nikon AW110 proved to be an
overall good waterproof model that feels great in the hands, features an
interface that's easy to navigate, shoots very good underwater stills and video
and boasts a nice design with an ultra-cool battery door.
